Associate Professor of Psychology and Cognitive Neuroscience

I have been a member of the Psychology Department and Neuroscience program at Agnes Scott College since 2013. I served as co-director of the Neuroscience Program for 6 years and was a founding member of the Neuroscience and Philosophy Department which was created in 2023. I am currently entering my 4th year as the Chair of the Psychology Department. My research focuses on gaining a better understanding of cognitive processes through work with human and nonhuman animals. I am also interested informal science education and studying how experiences outside of the classroom can influence knowledge, attitudes and behavior. Finally, I am passionate about sharing my love of cognition, learning and neuroscience through my courses as well as mentored research with students.
